I love the sweetness of butternut squash- this recipe is a bit more work than my normal slow cooker food but it makes up for it in taste- and lets be honest it still only takes ten minutes to prepare!

Malteser Cheesecake
An easy no bake Malteser cheesecake- a crowd pleaser every time as long as you can resist depleting your Malteser supply in the process.

Slow Cooker- Thai Green Curry
One of our favourite meals is Thai Green curry- it can be packed with veg, is warm and filling on a cold day and so easy to throw together. I’ll be honest this is totally a cheats recipe, I’m not about to stand for hours mixing spices after a long day in the office and down the farm but it tastes just as good!

Salted Caramel Brownies
I made these gooey sticky salted caramel brownies for a New Years eve party and they went down a treat- the girls sneaked a taste in the kitchen and didn’t want to put them out for everyone to eat! Safe to say, they are scrummy!

Golden Syrup Loaf
An easy cake loaf that is as sticky sweet and delicious in every slice! No fanciness just good old-fashioned golden soup sponge! Yummy for those cold winter days, of course accompanied by a brew.

Slow Cooker Dhansak- Meat Free
One of the things I have been trying to do is cut down on meat. For no reason other than to get eating more veg and try out new recipes. This is a recipe I found and adapted so I could make it in the slow cooker! It can be made using just a few ingredients, many of which are often lying in your around in your cupboards and freezer so is great as something to throw together when the fridge is looking a bit bare!

Nutella Cheesecake
Once you have made this, you will probably never make another flavour cheesecake again. A winner at all parties and BBQs- its delicious! I actually made this for a party and my husband threatened to eat a slice if I didn’t make him a mini version, so just be warned you may need to make more than you think!

Mcmillan coffee morning
Every year, all over the country, people get together for a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan cancer support. We are members of a local farmer club and in aid of the charity a coffee morning was thrown at a local farm. I don’t think we will be braking any stereotypes any time soon – as boy can farmers wives bake!

Rock cakes
A great classic one bowl recipe that you can chuck a variety of ingredients in and they still taste great. Especially yummy if you have them warm straight from the oven when you come in from the cold weather outside.
